Book One
When an earth exploration vessel explodes, the captain takes an escape pod with a handful of his crew. The pod goes off course and crashes on a desolate, uncharted planet. After a cataclysmic clash with locals, the captain is the only survivor. He encounters an ancient alien society who has forgotten their history and relies on strict laws to protect marginal natural resources. Those laws doom his shipmates but lead him on an ironic path toward integration within their society. Although they regard their world as utopian, he struggles to accept the sterility and stagnation of their everyday life. While he is welcomed into their world, not everyone is happy he is there. Something is not right, and his arrival has begun a change of events that threatens the entire society.
Book Two
The saga continues. The captain is now an integrated member of the alien society, but his victory is tempered by the need to protect another from the harshness of the culture’s laws. The captain is faced with a conflict between escaping the desolate world and remaining with new friends. Secret agendas from those unhappy with his presence, and the planet’s own instability, intensify his dilemma, leading to a cataclysmic decision.
Book Three
A new chapter begins. DeSolus comes to Earth. A paradox has developed between what DeSolans believe happened to Captain Arduus and what he knows is true. DeSolans face new challenges learning to integrate with their new human hosts, who have secret agendas behind their official hospitality. Emigration success depends on a fragile balance of trade. Meanwhile, Arduus must navigate between two realities. Choosing which one will be his future is not without consequences to the other.
