Robert Glahe

Rob took a long route: food scientist, corporate lawyer and systems manager, to get to what he wanted to do: writing. Once, it became a way to pass the time on long train commutes, and he wrote a full-length novel, not about trains. After becoming a stay-at-home Dad, he thought he would have the time to finally write in earnest. Not. But he found bits of time here and there to pen a few stories.

Escape From Desolation was inspired by a painting displayed in Omni Magazine in the 1980s. The image stuck in his head until it became a book.

His next project is the Chronicles of Sludge Dragoon, a six-book series (hopefully), that started with a short story written at a laundromat in Nebraska one sunny day. Stay tuned.

When he’s not writing, he dabbles in sculpture, Penguins, and paints.
