EFD Newsletter, Issue No. 2

Happy New Year everyone! Here are the latest updates on my book projects.

Book Three (Emigration) of my Escape From Desolation series is out and doing well. It’s available many places including Amazon. I offer the whole trilogy as a box set (discounted)(and signed) on my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/RobartPenguin

Due to popular demand, I’m contemplating a fourth book in the EFD series with a working title: Escape From Desolation: Making Mischief. This book would primarily follow the exploits of Prigulus Vortel after the events of Book Three. Although I will probably start this project after I publish the first book of my new series, work on the EFD book has already started in my mind. Once I begin the notion of a book, it cooks quietly in my sub-conscious. So don’t worry, Book Four has begun. And, at some point, I may provide a sample of the first chapter on my new author web site.

My next series is entitled The Chronicles of Sludge Dragoon: Rattz. I have a polished manuscript for book one, and a rough draft of book two, in a six book series. All six books are roughly outlined. It’s the story of a middle-aged crusty space marine who gets mixed up in a conspiracy to wipe out the human race. It’s a lighter story, all in good fun. Last December, I attended an art show in the western suburbs of Chicago. I do these to get comfortable with being in public and presenting my books. I met a lot of nice people and sold a bunch of books. I also attend local Comic Cons which is fun because people attend in customs of their favorite sci if/fantasy characters. My next appearance is at the DuPage Comic Con in March at the DuPage Country Fair Grounds.

I’ve been promising a change to my EFD website, a transition to a more general author page. That’s still in the works, when my publishing schedule permits. Stay tuned.
